The Liebherr Monolith EWT 9275 is a built-in wine cabinet designed to store up to 100 Bordeaux bottles (0.75 l) in carefully controlled conditions. With two temperature zones ranging from +5 °C to +20 °C, it suits varied wine collections. Features such as InfinityLight LED side wall lighting, InfinitySwipe touch control, SoftSystem door closing and SoftTelescopic wooden shelves support gentle storage, easy access and clear presentation of wines.
The floor must be capable of bearing the weight of the appliance plus the food load and should be level so that ventilation openings remain clear. Recess dimensions at the installation location must be correctly measured, and the power socket positioned correctly and easily accessible. Monolith appliances are designed for flush installation in units with a depth of 635 mm, with either stainless steel panels or customer-specific panels as accessories.
Top and carcass walls should line up flush with the appliance at a depth of at least 102 mm from the outside edge and be made from material at least 16 mm thick. As the unit recess is partially visible when the door is opened, the interior surfaces and a minimum depth of 76 mm are recommended to match the unit finish. Appliance depth is 610 mm, allowing installation in standard European units of 610 mm depth or deeper cut-outs of 635 mm.
For flush installation, door panel dimensions for inset installation must be used. For other installation options, door spacing requirements must be observed to determine panel dimensions.
For the EWT 9275, the maximum permitted panel weight is 24 kg. Thickness of the panel must be between a minimum of 16 mm and a maximum of 30 mm. If a five-piece shaker style panel thinner than the minimum thickness is used, shorter screws than those supplied in the accessory pack must be used.
Optional accessories for this model include flat brushed aluminium handles, square brushed aluminium handles, round stainless steel handles, stainless steel panels, stainless steel plinth panels and Side-by-Side sets. A door hinge exchange set is available and reversals are to be performed by a Liebherr authorised engineer. A FreshAir activated charcoal filter and further filter sets are available for this model.
Monolith appliances are ventilated entirely via the plinth panel. Door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor and the grill in the plinth panel must not be obstructed. Spacers included in the scope of supply must be fitted to separate warm outgoing air from fresh incoming air. Liebherr offers 102 mm high stainless steel plinth panels in widths suitable for the Monolith model and Side-by-Side combinations. The plinth panel depth position is variable and assembled by an adhesive joint pre-assembled on the appliance.
Adjustable feet are fully retracted for the minimum height. Appliance height is raised by turning the adjustable feet from the front once the appliance is in the recess, bringing the appliance into contact with the anti-tipping device. To achieve a minimal plinth panel height of 102 mm, the adjustable feet must be raised by 6–8 mm; for higher plinths, they can be raised by a maximum of 19 mm. Installations behind the appliance are not possible. The anti-tipping device must be secured to the floor or wall to prevent the appliance from tipping.
Appliances must be set up so that doors, including handles, do not collide with adjoining cupboards, work surfaces, walls or kitchen elements. A 90° door opening limiter (included) can be installed; doors are set to 115° ex works and can be limited to 90° by inserting a peg into the hinge. Other solutions include reducing door panel thickness if greater than 19 mm, repositioning colliding elements, or using a stopper.
For individual positioning or Side-by-Side installation, a minimum spacing of 76 mm must be included for a door opening limited to 90° to avoid collisions. Monolith appliances may be installed Side-by-Side in a fitted unit or in separate units; if the distance between integrated units is less than 102 mm, a Side-by-Side set is required. For three units, configurations with carcass sides and Side-by-Side sets are possible, though some options may lead to door collisions unless sufficient distances (e.g. 102 mm or 154 mm depending on handle directions) are observed.
The appliance must be operated using alternating current, with permitted voltage and frequency for the relevant country. Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected according to regulations, not located behind the appliance and easily accessible. Connection via extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters is not permitted due to risks of overheating, fire and imperfect sine wave voltage. A separate circuit is recommended.
The wine cabinet climate class is SN–ST, corresponding to ambient temperatures from 10 °C to 38 °C. Appliances must not be operated outside specified ambient temperature ranges. Refrigerant circuits have been checked for tightness and appliances meet applicable safety regulations.
Some Monolith appliances are fitted with InfinitySpring or IceMaker and must be connected to a water supply with pressure between 2.8 and 6.2 bar, using only the supply hose delivered with the appliance. Water quality must comply with local drinking water regulations. A shut-off valve must be installed between the hose line and mains water supply and must not be located behind the appliance. Water connection must be undertaken by a trained and licensed plumber. All devices and systems supplying water must meet regional provisions.
Appliances with InfinitySpring or IceMaker have a water filter in the front section of the base which must be replaced regularly. An InfinitySwipe alarm indicates when replacement is due. The IceMaker is intended for producing ice cubes in normal household quantities and must only be used with suitable water.
To prevent the appliance from tipping, the anti-tipping device must be fitted in accordance with the installation instructions. The appliance should be left standing for one hour in the installation location before switching on so that fluids in the coolant and lubrication system can be evenly distributed.
The EWT 9275 can store up to 100 Bordeaux bottles of 0.75 litres within a total volume of 320 litres.
It provides two temperature zones with a temperature range from +5 °C to +20 °C, allowing different wines to be stored at suitable temperatures.
SoftSystem technology ensures doors close gently to avoid vibrations from slamming doors. SoftTelescopic shelves run smoothly on telescopic rails with soft closing damping. InfinityProtection provides two temperature sensors in each wine safe and issues immediate notifications of critical temperature changes to protect wines from becoming too warm or too cold.
The cabinet features InfinityLight integrated LED side wall lighting, which casts an even glow, has a soft brightening effect when the doors open and can be fine-tuned. Control is via the InfinitySwipe electronic touch & swipe system, with a bright, clear 3.5 inch display that can show temperatures for multiple zones.
The EWT 9275 is supplied with a right-hand hinged insulated glass door. The door hinge is reversible; reversals must be carried out by authorised Liebherr Monolith customer service using the appropriate door hinge exchange set.
Available accessories include flat brushed aluminium handles, square brushed aluminium handles, round stainless steel handles, stainless steel panels, stainless steel plinth panels, Side-by-Side sets, door hinge exchange sets, FreshAir activated charcoal filters and wine accessories such as a stainless steel bottle presenter and set of three bars for the wooden shelf.
