The Liebherr Monolith EWT 9175 is a built-in wine cabinet designed for precise wine storage. With a total volume of 154 litres and space for up to 75 Bordeaux bottles, it offers two temperature zones controlled via InfinitySwipe touch technology. Features such as InfinityLight LED side wall lighting, FreshAir activated charcoal filter, SoftSystem door closure and SoftTelescopic wooden shelves support careful storage and convenient access for dedicated wine enthusiasts and collectors.
For inset installation, the height is 2029 mm and width 451 mm. For overlay installation, the height is 2032 mm and width 457 mm (plus panel overlap). Unit depth for overlay installation is 635 mm; for inset door panel installation it is 635 mm plus the thickness of the custom panel. Appliance depth is 610 mm, suitable for standard European cut-outs of 610 mm and deeper cut-outs of 635 mm.
Inset door panel dimensions are: A = 210 mm, B = 12.5 mm, C = 505 mm. Overlay door panel dimensions are: A = 216 mm, B = 12.5 mm, C = 517 mm. Dimension A is without a fitted door handle. Panel thickness must be between a minimum of 16 mm and a maximum of 30 mm, with a maximum panel weight of 24 kg. If a five-piece shaker style panel thinner than the minimum thickness is used, shorter screws than those supplied must be used.
The adjustable feet are fully retracted at the minimum stated height. The appliance height is increased by turning the adjustable feet from the front until the appliance contacts the anti-tipping device, which must be secured to the floor or wall. To achieve the minimal plinth panel height of 102 mm, the feet must be raised by 6 to 8 mm; for higher plinth panels, they may be raised by up to 19 mm. Monolith appliances are ventilated entirely via the plinth panel and door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor.
The plinth grill must not be obstructed. Spacers supplied with the appliance must be fitted to separate warm outgoing air from incoming fresh air. To prevent doors and handles from colliding with adjacent elements, a minimum spacing of 76 mm is required for a 90° door opening. A 90° door opening limiter is included; the door opening angle is 115° as supplied and can be limited to 90° by inserting a peg into the hinge.
The floor must be level and able to bear the weight of the appliance plus between approximately 218 kg and 544 kg of food (depending on model). Recess dimensions must be correctly measured and the power socket positioned correctly and accessible. Top and carcass walls must line up flush with the appliance for at least 102 mm from the outside edge and be at least 16 mm thick. Parts of the recess are visible when the door is open, so matching finishes and a minimum depth of 76 mm are recommended.
Monolith appliances can be installed individually or Side-by-Side. When combining units with a spacing of less than 102 mm, a Side-by-Side set is required. In separate units, a dividing wall with a minimum width of 16 mm is needed, and at least 102 mm if handles must not collide when doors open in the same direction, or 154 mm when doors open towards each other with a 90° limiter. The appliance should be installed only next to Liebherr refrigerators, freezers or wine cabinets to avoid condensation or damage.
The appliance must be operated on alternating current within the permitted voltage and frequency for the country. Power sockets must be earthed, protected, not located behind the appliance and must remain accessible. A separate electrical circuit is recommended. Do not use extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters. The wine cabinet is intended for refrigerating and storing wine within the SN–ST climate class, with ambient temperatures from 10°C to 38°C.
Each wine safe includes a FreshAir activated charcoal filter to maintain air quality. Incoming air is cleaned and unpleasant odours filtered out to protect stored wine. Dedicated FreshAir activated charcoal filters and multi-piece filter sets for this model are available as optional accessories.
SoftSystem technology ensures doors close gently every time, reducing vibrations from slamming doors. SoftTelescopic technology provides smooth-running telescopic rails with self-closing and soft damping, and additional wooden bars allow the interior to be adapted for various wine and champagne bottle sizes.
The InfinityBoard pull-out shelf allows bottles to be stored temporarily while sorting the collection or serving wine, enabling wine to be opened and tasted directly at the cabinet. An aluminium labelling strip lets you attach labels for each wine, providing a structured overview of your wine supply.
The cabinet has a total volume of 154 litres and can store up to 75 Bordeaux bottles of 0.75 litres.
The wine cabinet offers a temperature range from +5°C to +20°C with two separate temperature zones, displayed and controlled via the InfinitySwipe touch interface.
The appliance is supplied with a left-hand hinge and the door is reversible by authorised Liebherr Monolith customer service. The unit is also available as variant -001 with right door hinges.
Integrated LED side wall lighting called InfinityLight provides a beautiful, even glow with a soft brightening effect when the door opens. The LED technology emits less heat and is more efficient than traditional lighting.
Each wine safe includes a FreshAir activated charcoal filter. Incoming air is cleaned and unpleasant odours are filtered out, helping to protect stored wines.
The cabinet is designed for SN–ST climate class, meaning it can operate in ambient temperatures from 10°C to 38°C, which covers typical indoor conditions in the UK.
