The Liebherr Monolith EWT 9175 is a 45.7 cm built-in wine cabinet designed for storing and presenting wine in optimised conditions. It features two temperature zones with a range from +5°C to +20°C, telescopic wooden shelves and an insulated glass door. With capacity for up to 75 Bordeaux bottles, activated charcoal air filtration and intuitive InfinitySwipe electronic control, it is suitable for users seeking flexible temperature control and refined storage for sizeable wine collections.
The installation space must have a level floor capable of bearing the weight of the appliance plus stored contents. The recess dimensions must be correctly measured, and the power socket positioned correctly and easily accessible. The appliance depth is 610 mm and it can be installed in fitted units of 610 mm depth or in deeper cut-outs of 635 mm. For flush installation with stainless steel or customer-specific panels, the inset door panel dimensions must be used. Installations behind the appliance are not possible.
The top and carcass walls must line up flush with the appliance at a depth of at least 102 mm from the outside edge and be at least 16 mm thick. Because parts of the recess are visible when the door is opened, matching finishes for the interior of the unit are recommended. A decorative trim is supplied to cover the gap between the appliance and the side walls of the fitted unit.
The appliance is ventilated entirely via the plinth panel. The door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor and the grill in the plinth panel must not be obstructed. Spacers supplied with the appliance must be fitted to the appliance and door to separate warm outgoing air from incoming fresh air. A 102 mm high stainless steel plinth panel, in widths from 45.7 cm to 182.8 cm according to possible combinations, is available as an optional accessory.
The adjustable feet are fully retracted for the minimum height stated and can be raised from the front to bring the appliance into contact with the anti-tipping device. To achieve the minimal plinth panel height of 102 mm, the adjustable feet must be raised by 6 to 8 mm. For higher plinth panels, the feet can be raised by up to 19 mm.
The appliance must be installed so that the doors, including handles, do not collide with adjoining cupboards, work surfaces, walls or other kitchen elements. The door opening angle is set to 115° at the factory and can be limited to 90° using the included door opening limiter. To prevent collisions, a minimum spacing of 76 mm must be allowed when limiting the opening to 90°.
For Side-by-Side installation in the same fitted unit or in separate units, a Side-by-Side set is required if the distance between appliances is less than 102 mm. Different arrangements are possible for combinations of two or three units. For configurations where doors open towards each other and handles must not collide, a minimum distance of 102 mm (or 154 mm with 90° door opening limiters in some back-to-back configurations) is necessary.
Monolith appliances are designed for use with stainless steel panels or customer-specific panels up to 30 mm thickness, provided the maximum permitted panel weight (24 kg for this model) is not exceeded. If a five-piece shaker style panel is used and is thinner than the minimum thickness of 16 mm, shorter screws than those supplied must be used. Overlay and inset door panel dimensions are specified, with dimension A given without fitted door handle.
For overlay door panel installation, the standard cut-out depth is 635 mm. For inset door panel installation, the cut-out depth is 635 mm plus the thickness of the custom panel. The minimum permitted gap between panels is 3 mm.
The appliance is intended for refrigerating and storing wine. It must only be operated with alternating current, within the permitted voltage and frequency for the country. Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected and not located behind the appliance. A separate circuit is recommended. The appliance must not be connected via extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters.
The climate class is SN–ST, suitable for ambient temperatures from 10°C to 38°C. The appliance should not be operated outside these temperature limits. The refrigerant circuit has been checked for tightness and the appliance complies with applicable safety regulations. An anti-tipping device at the base must be secured to the floor or wall for safe mounting.
Before switching on, the appliance should stand for one hour in its installation location so that fluids in the coolant and lubrication system are evenly distributed.
InfinityLight integrated LED side wall lighting provides a soft brightening effect when the doors are opened and can be fine-tuned. It emits less heat and is more efficient than traditional lighting, helping to preserve wines and reduce energy consumption. SoftSystem technology ensures particularly gentle door closing, reducing vibrations. SoftTelescopic ensures that the high-quality wooden shelves sit on smooth-running telescopic rails with a self-closing mechanism and soft closing damping, allowing convenient access to all bottles.
InfinityProtection uses two temperature sensors in each wine safe to monitor against strong temperature fluctuations. If a critical temperature change is detected, there is immediate notification to help protect wines from becoming too warm or too cold. The FreshAir activated charcoal filter in each wine safe cleans incoming air and filters out unpleasant odours to maintain suitable air quality around stored wines.
The EWT 9175 has a total volume of 232 litres and can accommodate up to 75 Bordeaux bottles (0.75 l), distributed across nine wooden storage shelves, all on telescopic rails.
The cabinet provides two temperature zones with a temperature range from +5°C to +20°C. The InfinitySwipe touch and swipe control system allows intuitive control of these zones, and for wine cabinets with multiple zones, the display can show up to three temperatures.
The standard door hinge is on the left and is reversible. There is also a variant EWT 9175-001 available with right door hinges. Reversing the hinge should be carried out by authorised Liebherr Monolith customer service or using the dedicated door hinge exchange set where applicable.
The recess dimensions are 213.4/45.7/63.5 cm (H/W/D). The appliance depth is 610 mm and it is ventilated entirely via the plinth panel. Door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor and the plinth grill must remain unobstructed. A level floor and correctly positioned power socket are required, and the anti-tipping device at the base must be secured to the floor or wall.
Yes. Monolith appliances, including the EWT 9175, can be installed Side-by-Side in a fitted unit or in separate units. If the distance between appliances is less than 102 mm, a Side-by-Side set is required. Additional spacing requirements (at least 76 mm, and in some configurations 102 mm or 154 mm) must be observed to prevent door and handle collisions.
InfinityProtection uses two temperature sensors in each wine safe to detect strong temperature fluctuations and trigger immediate notification. A visual and audible temperature alarm and an audible door alarm support this protection. Each wine safe is also equipped with a FreshAir activated charcoal filter that cleans incoming air and filters out unpleasant odours.
