The Liebherr Monolith EKB 9671 is a tall built-in refrigerator designed for flush integration in kitchen units with a depth of 635 mm. With a total volume of 542 litres, BioFresh and BioFresh-Plus safes, and InfinityLight side-wall LED lighting, it offers generous, flexible storage. Features such as the InfinitySpring integrated water dispenser, InfinitySwipe touch display and SmartDevice connectivity combine convenient operation with advanced cooling performance.
The appliance is designed for flush installation in units with a depth of 635 mm using stainless steel or customer-specific panels. The floor must be level and capable of bearing the weight of the appliance plus approximately 218 kg to 544 kg of food, depending on model. The recess dimensions for this model are 213.4 cm (H) × 91.4 cm (W) × 63.5 cm (D).
The unit carcass walls and top must line up flush with the appliance at a depth of at least 102 mm from the outside edge and be at least 16 mm thick. Because the recess is partially visible when the door is opened, a designed finish on visible carcass surfaces is recommended.
For inset installation, door panel dimensions of 2029 mm (H) × 908 mm (W) apply. For overlay installation, the panel dimensions are 2032 mm (H) × 914 mm (W), not including overlaps on the top or sides. Panel thickness must be between 16 mm and 30 mm, and maximum panel weight is 40 kg. Installations behind the appliance are not possible.
The appliance is ventilated entirely via the plinth panel. Door panels must terminate at least 102 mm above the floor, and the plinth grill must remain unobstructed. Adjustable feet are fully retracted at the minimum height; raising them by 6 to 8 mm achieves the minimum plinth height of 102 mm, and they can be raised by up to 19 mm if a higher plinth is required.
The appliance can be installed as an individual unit or Side-by-Side with other Monolith refrigerators, freezers or wine cabinets. A Side-by-Side set is required if the distance between appliances is less than 102 mm. To prevent collisions with adjoining walls or kitchen elements at a 90° opening angle, a minimum spacing of 76 mm must be allowed for the door and handle.
For Side-by-Side installation in separate units, a dividing wall of at least 16 mm thickness is required. To ensure that handles do not collide when doors open in the same direction, a minimum spacing of 102 mm is needed; for opening to the centre with a 90° door opening limiter, at least 154 mm is required. A 90° door opening limiter is included and can be fitted into the hinge if the door would otherwise hit adjacent elements.
Models with InfinitySpring must be connected to a water supply using only the hose supplied. Water pressure must be between 2.8 and 6.2 bar, and the water must comply with local drinking water regulations. A shut-off valve must be installed between the hose and the mains water supply and must not be located behind the appliance. Connection must be carried out by a trained and licensed plumber.
All appliances fitted with InfinitySpring have a water filter located in the front section of the appliance base. The filter must be replaced regularly. The InfinitySwipe control provides an alarm to remind you when the water filter needs replacing.
The appliance must be operated on alternating current at the permitted voltage and frequency for the country of installation. Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected and easily accessible; they must not be located behind the appliance. A separate circuit is recommended to avoid food spoilage due to failures caused by other appliances.
The appliance must not be connected via extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters, due to risks of overheating, fire and imperfect sine wave voltage. The climate class SN–T allows operation between 10 °C and 43 °C ambient temperature. The appliance should not be operated outside this range.
To prevent tipping, the anti-tipping device at the base of the appliance must be secured to the floor or wall. After positioning the appliance in the recess, the adjustable feet must be raised from the front until the appliance makes contact with the anti-tipping device. Secure mounting is an essential safety requirement.
Monolith appliances are ventilated entirely via the plinth panel; dedicated spacers supplied with the appliance must be fitted to separate warm outgoing air from incoming fresh air. The PowerCooling system ensures rapid and even cooling, including in door racks, while the FreshAir activated charcoal filter reduces odours. InfinityLight side-wall lighting provides even illumination with minimal heat.
BioFresh technology keeps fruit and vegetables, meat and dairy products fresh for considerably longer than in a conventional refrigerator compartment by maintaining temperatures slightly above 0 °C with controllable humidity. The third BioFresh safe can reach −2 °C, ideal for fresh fish and seafood or for quickly cooling drinks. All BioFresh safes feature SoftTelescopic, a convenient self-closing mechanism with gently cushioned door closure.
The FlexSystem (available as an accessory for 91.4 cm width) helps sort and clearly organise items within the preferred BioFresh safe, while InfinityBeam LED lighting ensures perfect illumination of these compartments.
The total volume is 542 litres, with 308.0 litres in the refrigerator compartment and 234.8 litres in the BioFresh compartment, as indicated in accordance with Regulation EU 2019/2016.
The refrigerator compartment temperature can be set between +2 °C and +7 °C. BioFresh safes operate at slightly above 0 °C, and the third BioFresh safe can reach −2 °C for specific storage needs.
InfinitySpring is supplied via a fixed 3/4' water connection using the hose delivered with the appliance. Water pressure must be between 2.8 and 6.2 bar. A replaceable water filter, located in the front section of the appliance plinth, ensures a constant supply of purified water and must be replaced regularly. The InfinitySwipe control issues an alarm when replacement is due.
The door hinge is on the right as standard but is reversible. Reversing the door hinge must be carried out by authorised Liebherr Monolith customer service, and a door hinge exchange set is available as an accessory.
Yes. Monolith appliances are designed for Side-by-Side installation with other Liebherr refrigerators, freezers or wine cabinets. A Side-by-Side set is required if the distance between units is less than 102 mm, and a sidewall heater included in the set prevents condensation between appliances.
