The Liebherr Monolith EGN 9471 is a premium built-in freezer designed for flush integration into kitchen furniture with a depth of 635 mm. It combines NoFrost technology, an automatic IceMaker with fixed water connection and elegant InfinityLight LED lighting. With a large total volume and FrostSafe drawers on telescopic rails, it is suitable for households that require generous, well-organised freezer space, efficient freezing performance and sophisticated installation options, including Side-by-Side combinations.
The floor must support the weight of the appliance plus approx. 218 kg to 544 kg of food, depending on model. The floor should be level so that ventilation openings remain clear. Recess dimensions must be measured correctly and the power socket must be in the correct position and easily accessible, not located behind the appliance.
The top and carcass walls must line up flush with the appliance at a depth of at least 102 mm from the outside edge and be at least 16 mm thick. Because parts of the recess are visible when the door is opened, matching finishes and a minimum depth of 76 mm are recommended for visible carcass sides.
Monolith appliances are designed for flush installation in 635 mm deep units using stainless steel or customer-specific panels, provided that the maximum permitted panel weight and thickness (up to 30 mm) are not exceeded.
The depth of Monolith appliances is 610 mm, enabling installation in standard 610 mm units or in deeper 635 mm cut-outs for flexible installation options.
Installations behind the appliance are not possible. The appliance has a recess area for cable and water line routing with a depth of 25 mm and height of 140 mm across the entire appliance width.
The mains cable exits at 19 mm from the left and 127 mm from the floor, with a free length of 2.5 m.
For inset door panels, dimensions are A = 337 mm, B = 12.5 mm, C = 810 mm. For overlay door panels, A = 343 mm, B = 12.5 mm, C = 822 mm. Dimension A is without a fitted door handle.
Inset installation height is H = 2029 mm and width W = 756 mm. Overlay installation height is H = 2032 mm and width W = 762 mm, plus the dimensions of panel overlap at the top and sides.
Panel thickness must be between 16 mm and 30 mm, with a maximum panel weight of 35 kg. If a five-piece shaker-style panel thinner than the minimum is used, shorter screws than those supplied must be used.
The adjustable feet are fully retracted at the minimum height. The appliance height is raised by turning the adjustable feet from the front until the appliance contacts the anti-tipping device. To achieve the minimal plinth panel height of 102 mm, the adjustable feet must be raised by 6 to 8 mm. For a higher plinth panel, the adjustable feet can be raised by up to 19 mm.
Monolith appliances are ventilated entirely via the plinth panel. Door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor, and the grill in the plinth panel must not be obstructed. Spacers supplied with the appliance must be fitted to separate warm outgoing air from incoming fresh air.
It is essential to install the appliance so that doors, including handles, do not bump into adjacent cupboards, worktops, walls or other kitchen elements. The door opening angle is set to 115 ° ex works and can be limited to 90 ° using the supplied door opening limiter.
To prevent collisions, a minimum spacing of 76 mm must be allowed for a 90 ° door opening. In Side-by-Side arrangements, distances between units may need to be 102 mm or 154 mm, depending on door orientation and use of door opening limiters.
The minimum permitted gap between panels is 3 mm for door panel installations.
The appliance should only be installed next to Liebherr refrigerators, freezers or wine cabinets. Monolith models are designed to be set up Side-by-Side using Side-by-Side sets where spacing between appliances is less than 102 mm. These sets include a sidewall heater, metal brackets, screws and decorative trim for covering a gap of approx. 6–8 mm between appliances.
For combinations of two or three units, widths W1, W2 and W3 are defined (for example 762, 1219, 1676 mm, depending on model widths). If dividing walls between units are used, minimum thicknesses of 16 mm, 102 mm or 154 mm may be required to prevent door and handle collisions.
The use of the Side-by-Side set increases energy consumption by 0.4 kWh/24 h for two units and 0.8 kWh/24 h for three units.
Monolith appliances fitted with an IceMaker must be connected to a water supply with pressure between 2.8 bar and 6.2 bar. Only the supply hose delivered with the appliance may be used. A shut-off valve must be installed between the hose line and the mains water supply and must not be positioned behind the appliance.
Water quality must comply with local drinking water regulations. The IceMaker is solely for producing ice cubes in normal household quantities and must only be used with suitable water.
All devices and systems used to supply the appliance with water must comply with relevant regional provisions. The water filter is located in the front section of the appliance base and must be replaced regularly. An InfinitySwipe alarm reminds users when replacement is due.
The appliance must only be operated using alternating current within the permitted voltage and frequency for the relevant country. Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected, not located behind the appliance and easily accessible to disconnect the appliance if required. A separate circuit is recommended to prevent defrosting due to failures caused by other appliances.
The appliance must not be connected via extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters due to fire risk and potential overheating of control electronics. Do not connect the appliance to unearthed power sockets as this may cause severe injury or death.
Water connection work must not be performed while the appliance is connected to an electrical socket. All repairs and work on the IceMaker must only be undertaken by customer service employees or other trained individuals.
Before switching on, the appliance should stand for one hour in the installation location to allow fluids in the coolant and lubrication system to distribute evenly. The refrigerant circuits have been checked for tightness and the appliance meets applicable safety regulations.
The appliance is intended for refrigerating, freezing and storing food and for making ice. It is designed for operation within climate class SN-T, with an ambient temperature range from 10 °C to 43 °C. The appliance must not be operated outside this ambient temperature range.
To prevent the appliance from tipping over after installation, the anti-tipping device positioned at the base of the appliance must be secured to the floor or wall. The appliance must be raised with the adjustable feet until it contacts the anti-tipping device.
The total volume of the EGN 9471 freezer is 457 litres, indicated in accordance with Regulation EU 2019/2016 and rounded to the nearest integer.
No. The EGN 9471 features NoFrost technology and an automatic defrosting method, so the freezer compartment remains ice-free and manual defrosting is not necessary.
The automatic IceMaker creates 1.6 kg of filtered ice in 24 hours, with a storage volume of 1.8 kg to 3.5 kg depending on the model. For the EGN 9471 specification table, ice cube production is listed as 1.1 kg per 24 hours and storage capacity as 3.0 kg.
The minimum plinth panel height is 102 mm. Monolith appliances are ventilated entirely via the plinth, and the grill must not be obstructed. Door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor. Spacers supplied with the appliance must be used to separate warm outgoing air from incoming fresh air.
Yes. The EGN 9471 is supplied with a left door hinge, but the hinge is reversible. Reversing the door hinge must be carried out by authorised Liebherr Monolith customer service using the appropriate door hinge exchange set.
The climate class SN-T means the appliance is designed for ambient temperatures from 10 °C to 43 °C. It should not be operated outside this range to ensure optimal cooling performance.
