The Liebherr Monolith EGN 9171 is a tall integrated freezer designed for flush installation in premium kitchen cabinetry. At 45.7 cm wide, it offers a 245 litre NoFrost freezer compartment with InfinitySwipe electronic control, InfinityLight LED lighting and SoftSystem door closing. Features such as SuperFrost, FrostSafe drawers with telescopic rails and an automatic IceMaker with fixed water connection make it suitable for households seeking generous, well-organised frozen food storage and convenient ice production.
The appliance is designed for flush installation in units with a depth of 635 mm using stainless steel or customer-specific panels. It can also be installed in standard European 610 mm-deep units. Recess dimensions for inset installation are 2029 mm (H) and 451 mm (W); for overlay installation 2032 mm (H) and 457 mm (W). The carcass walls should be at least 16 mm thick, line up flush with the appliance at a depth of at least 102 mm from the outside edge, and have a minimum visible depth of 76 mm.
The adjustable feet are fully retracted at the minimum height. After positioning in the recess, the appliance is raised from the front so it contacts the anti-tipping device. To achieve the minimal plinth panel height of 102 mm, the adjustable feet are raised by 6–8 mm; they can be raised by a maximum of 19 mm for higher plinth panels. Installations behind the appliance are not possible.
Ventilation is provided entirely via the plinth panel. The door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor and the plinth grill must not be obstructed. Spacers supplied with the appliance must be fitted to separate warm outgoing air from incoming fresh air. Liebherr offers 102 mm high stainless steel plinth panels in widths from 45.7 cm to 182.8 cm as optional accessories.
The appliance must be installed so that doors and handles do not collide with adjacent walls or kitchen elements. A 90° door opening limiter (included in the scope of supply) can be fitted if necessary; the factory setting is 115°. To prevent collisions for a door opening limited to 90°, a minimum spacing of 76 mm from adjoining elements is required. The minimum permitted gap between door panels is 3 mm.
Monolith appliances can be installed individually, Side-by-Side in a single fitted unit, or Side-by-Side in separate units. A Side-by-Side set is required if the distance between appliances is less than 102 mm. The set includes a sidewall heater, brackets, screws and decorative trim. Using a Side-by-Side set increases energy consumption by 0.4 kWh/24 h for two units and 0.8 kWh/24 h for three units.
Models with IceMaker require a fixed water connection with pressure between 2.8 and 6.2 bar. Only the supply hose delivered with the appliance may be used. A shut-off valve must be installed between the hose line and the mains water supply and must not be positioned behind the appliance. The water quality must comply with local drinking water regulations. The IceMaker is for producing ice cubes in normal household quantities and must only be used with suitable water.
The appliance must be operated on alternating current with voltage and frequency matching the design for the country of use. Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected and easily accessible, and must not be located behind the appliance. A separate circuit is recommended. The appliance must not be connected using extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters. Connecting to unearthed sockets or unsuitable devices can lead to electric shock or fire.
The freezer is intended for refrigerating, freezing and storing food and making ice. It has climate class SN-T and is designed for ambient temperatures between 10 °C and 43 °C. It must not be operated outside these temperature ranges.
To prevent tipping, the anti-tipping device supplied must be secured to the floor or wall at the base of the appliance. After installation, the appliance must be raised until it comes into contact with this device.
The total volume is 245 litres, stated in accordance with Regulation EU 2019/2016 and rounded to the nearest integer.
No. The appliance uses NoFrost technology with automatic defrosting. Frozen food is cooled with re-circulated air and humidity is removed, keeping the freezer compartment ice-free and eliminating the need for manual defrosting.
The specification table lists an ice cube production of 1.3 kg in 24 hours with a storage capacity of 1.8 kg. The IceMaker feature description states that, depending on model, up to 1.6 kg of ice can be produced in 24 hours, with storage volume between 1.8 kg and 3.5 kg.
For inset installation, the recess height is 2029 mm and width 451 mm. For overlay installation, recess height is 2032 mm and width 457 mm. Unit depth for overlay installation is 635 mm, and for inset installation 635 mm plus the custom panel thickness.
The climate class is SN-T, which corresponds to ambient temperatures between 10 °C and 43 °C. The appliance should not be operated outside this range.
Yes. The door is supplied with a left hinge and is reversible. Hinge reversal must be carried out by authorised Liebherr Monolith customer service. A door hinge exchange set is available as an accessory for Monolith model combinations except for model ECBN 9673.
