The Liebherr Monolith EGN 9671 is a tall built-in freezer designed for flush integration in premium kitchen units. It offers NoFrost freezing, an automatic IceMaker with water filter, and elegant InfinityLight LED side-wall lighting. SoftSystem door damping and SoftTelescopic drawers support quiet, convenient everyday use. With electronic controls, SuperFrost function and multiple FrostSafe drawers, it is suited to households that want generous, well-organised freezer storage.
The appliance is designed for flush installation in units with a depth of 635 mm and has an appliance depth of 610 mm. It may be installed in standard European recesses of 610 mm depth or in deeper 635 mm cut-outs. Recess dimensions for this model are 213.4 cm (H) Γ 91.4 cm (W) Γ 63.5 cm (D).
The floor must support the weight of the appliance plus stored food. The floor should be level so that ventilation openings remain clear. Installations behind the appliance are not possible. A decorative trim to cover the gap between appliance and fitted unit side walls is included in the scope of supply.
Monolith appliances can be individually positioned, or installed Side-by-Side in a single fitted unit or separate units. If the spacing between appliances is less than 102 mm, a Side-by-Side set is required. To prevent door and handle collisions, allow a minimum spacing of 76 mm for a 90Β° opening or 154 mm for certain back-to-back configurations.
The appliance is suitable for stainless steel panels or customer-specific panels. Panel thickness must be between a minimum of 16 mm and a maximum of 30 mm, with a maximum panel weight of 40 kg for this model. If a five-piece shaker style panel is thinner than 16 mm, shorter screws than those supplied must be used.
Door panel dimensions for inset installation are 2029 mm high and 908 mm wide; for overlay installation they are 2032 mm high and 914 mm wide (excluding overlaps). The unit depth is 635 mm for both overlay and inset installations, with inset installations adding the thickness of the custom panel.
Ventilation is provided entirely via the plinth panel. The door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor and the plinth grill must not be obstructed. Adjustable feet can raise the appliance to achieve a minimal plinth panel height of 102 mm; they can be raised by 6β8 mm for this height and up to 19 mm in total. Optional stainless steel plinth panels 102 mm high are available in widths matching Monolith models and Side-by-Side combinations.
The appliance must be operated using alternating current with a permitted voltage of 220β240 V~ and connected load of 2.0 A. Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected and not located behind the appliance, so that the appliance can be disconnected if necessary. A separate circuit is recommended.
It must not be connected to unearthed sockets, extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters due to the risk of electric shock, overheating or fire. The refrigerant circuit has been checked for tightness and the appliance meets applicable safety regulations.
Appliances with IceMaker must be connected to a mains water supply via the supplied hose. Water pressure must be between 2.8 and 6.2 bar. A shut-off valve must be installed between the hose line and mains water supply and must not be located behind the appliance. Connection to the water supply must only be carried out by a trained and licensed plumber.
The IceMaker is solely for producing ice cubes in normal household quantities and must only be used with potable water. If water hardness is high, a water softener is recommended; a filter is required if solids such as sand are present. A water filter is located in the front section of the appliance plinth and must be replaced regularly. All work on the IceMaker must be carried out by customer service or other trained individuals.
The appliance is designed for refrigerating, freezing and storing food, and for making ice, within climate class SNβT. It may be operated in ambient temperatures from 10Β°C to 43Β°C. It should not be operated outside these temperature ranges.
An anti-tipping device positioned at the base must be secured to the floor or wall to prevent the appliance from tipping. After positioning in the recess, the appliance is raised from the front using adjustable feet until it contacts the anti-tipping device. A 90Β° door opening limiter is included and can be fitted to reduce the door opening angle from 115Β° to 90Β° if space is restricted.
Monolith appliances must be installed so that doors and handles do not collide with adjoining units, worktops or walls. Possible solutions include reducing door panel thickness if above 19 mm, repositioning adjacent elements or using a stopper.
The appliance itself measures 212.6 cm in height, 90.6 cm in width and 61 cm in depth. The required recess dimensions are 213.4 cm in height, 91.4 cm in width and 63.5 cm in depth. The unit depth for overlay installation is 635 mm and for inset installation 635 mm plus the thickness of the custom panel.
No. The EGN 9671 uses NoFrost technology and automatic defrosting. NoFrost freezes food with cooled re-circulated air, removes humidity and keeps the freezer compartment ice-free, so manual defrosting is not necessary.
The IceMaker has a fixed 3/4' water connection. Only the hose supplied with the appliance may be used. Water pressure must be between 2.8 and 6.2 bar, and the water quality must comply with local drinking water regulations. A shut-off valve must be fitted between the hose line and mains water supply.
The EGN 9671 belongs to climate class SNβT, which allows operation in ambient temperatures from 10Β°C to 43Β°C. It should not be used outside this temperature range to ensure optimal performance.
Yes. The appliance is supplied with a left-hand door hinge and it is reversible. Reversing the hinge must be carried out by authorised Liebherr Monolith customer service, using a door hinge exchange set where required.
Yes. Monolith appliances, including the EGN 9671, can be installed Side-by-Side with other Liebherr refrigerators, freezers or wine cabinets. If the spacing between units is less than 102 mm, a Side-by-Side set and, if installed in separate carcasses with spacing under 102 mm, a sidewall heater must be used to prevent condensation.
