Installation, Ventilation and Safety Information
Installation space requirements
- The floor must be capable of bearing the weight of the appliance plus approximately 218 kg to 544 kg of food, depending on model.
- The installation surface must be level, even and made of a hard, rigid material at the same height as the rest of the room.
- Recess dimensions and power socket position must be correctly measured and the socket must be easily accessible, not behind the appliance.
- Appliance height including packaging and pallet is 2285 mm for transport planning.
- The appliance should only be installed next to Liebherr refrigerators, freezers or wine cabinets when installed Side-by-Side with the appropriate set.
Recess and door panel requirements
- Top and carcass walls must line up flush with the appliance at a depth of at least 102 mm from the outside edge and be at least 16 mm thick.
- Units are designed for flush installation in recesses 635 mm deep with stainless steel panels or customer-specific panels.
- Custom panels must not exceed the maximum permitted panel weight of 30 kg and maximum thickness of 25 mm.
- The appliance depth is 610 mm and can be installed in 610 mm or 635 mm deep cut-outs.
- Door panels for inset installation: height 2029 mm, width 603 mm; overlay installation: height 2032 mm (plus panel overlap at top), width 610 mm (plus overlap at sides).
- Panel thickness must be minimum 16 mm* and maximum 25 mm; maximum panel weight 30 kg.
- Installations behind the appliance are not possible.
* When using fronts thinner than 16 mm, shorter screws than those provided in the accessory kit must be used.
Adjustable feet and anti-tipping device
- Adjustable feet are fully retracted for the minimum appliance height; the appliance is raised once positioned in the recess.
- To achieve a plinth panel height of 102 mm, adjustable feet must be raised by 6–8 mm; for higher plinth panels they can be raised by up to 19 mm.
- The anti-tipping device at the base must be secured to the floor or wall to prevent the appliance from tipping over.
Ventilation requirements
- The appliance is ventilated entirely via the plinth panel; door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor.
- The grille in the plinth panel must not be obstructed.
- Wall spacers/air separators supplied must be fitted to separate warm outgoing air from fresh air flowing in.
- A 102 mm high stainless steel plinth panel is available as an accessory in widths to match individual or Side-by-Side configurations.
Door spacing and Side-by-Side installation
- To avoid collisions with adjoining walls or kitchen elements, include a minimum spacing of 76 mm for a door opening limited to 90°.
- For Side-by-Side installations with spacing under 102 mm, a Side-by-Side set is required.
- In back-to-back door positioning, a minimum spacing of 154 mm is necessary.
- The door opening angle is 115° as standard and can be limited to 90° using the supplied door opening limiter.
- The minimum permitted gap between adjoining door panels is 4 mm.
Electrical safety
- The appliance must only be operated using alternating current at the permitted voltage and frequency for the relevant country.
- Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected, not located behind the appliance and easily accessible.
- A separate circuit is recommended to help prevent defrosting or spoiling of food due to failures caused by other appliances.
- Do not connect the appliance to unearthed power sockets, extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters due to risks of electric shock or fire.
Ambient temperature and operation
- Wine cabinets are designed for climate class SN–ST with ambient temperatures from 10 °C to 38 °C.
- Appliances are intended for refrigerating, freezing and storing food and for making ice (if equipped).
- Do not operate outside the specified ambient temperature ranges.
Water connection (for models with InfinitySpring or IceMaker)
For Monolith appliances fitted with an InfinitySpring integrated water dispenser or IceMaker, a water supply connection is required. The water pressure must be between 2.8 and 6.2 bar and only the supply hose delivered with the appliance may be used. A shut-off valve must be installed between the hose and mains water supply and must not be located behind the appliance.
- Connection to the water supply must only be undertaken by a trained and licensed plumber.
- Water quality must comply with local drinking water regulations; a water softener is recommended for hard water and a filter must be used if solids such as sand are present.
- Appliances with InfinitySpring or IceMaker have a water filter in the front section of the base; this must be replaced regularly and an InfinitySwipe alarm reminds when replacement is due.
- Water connection work must not be performed while the appliance is connected to an electrical socket.
