Installation, Ventilation and Safety Information

Installation space requirements

• The floor must be capable of bearing the weight of the appliance plus approximately 218 kg to 544 kg of food, depending on model; consult an architect or construction specialist if in doubt.
• The surface must be level, even, hard and rigid, and at the same height as the rest of the room floor.
• The appliance must be underlaid or levelled to floor level so that ventilation openings remain clear.
• Recess dimensions at the installation location must be correctly measured and the power socket positioned correctly.
• Appliance height including packaging and pallet is 2285 mm; door heights on the transport route in a tilted position must be considered.
• The appliance should only be installed next to Liebherr refrigerators, freezers or wine cabinets; otherwise condensation or damage may occur.

Recess and panel requirements

• Top and carcass walls must line up flush with the appliance at a depth of at least 102 mm from the outside edge and be at least 16 mm thick.
• Parts of the unit recess are visible when the door is opened; internal finishes should match visible unit surfaces with a minimum depth of 76 mm.
• Monolith appliances can be installed in standard European depth units of 610 mm or deeper 635 mm cut-outs.
• For flush installation, inset door panel dimensions must be used; for other options, door spacing requirements apply.
• Supplied decorative trim covers the gap between appliance and side walls of the fitted unit.

Ventilation requirements

• Appliances are ventilated entirely via the plinth panel; door panels must close at least 102 mm above the floor.
• The grill in the plinth panel must not be obstructed.
• Wall spacers / air separators supplied must be fitted to separate warm outgoing air from incoming fresh air.
• A 102 mm high stainless steel plinth panel is available as an accessory in widths matching Monolith models and Side-by-Side combinations (45.7 cm to 182.8 cm).

Door spacing and Side-by-Side installation

• Monolith appliances can be installed as stand-alone units or Side-by-Side in fitted or separate units.
• Minimum spacing of 76 mm is required to prevent doors and handles colliding with adjoining elements for a 90° door opening.
• If spacing between appliances is less than 102 mm, a Side-by-Side set is required.
• Back-to-back door positioning requires a minimum spacing of 154 mm.
• A 90° door opening limiter (supplied) can be inserted into the hinge; standard door opening angle is 115°.
• Minimum gap between panels is 4 mm.

Electrical safety

• Appliance must be operated using alternating current within the permitted voltage and frequency for the relevant country.
• Power sockets must be earthed, electrically protected, not located behind the appliance and easily accessible.
• A separate circuit is recommended to avoid food spoilage from failures caused by other appliances.
• Do not connect the appliance to unearthed power sockets; risk of fatal electric shock.
• Do not use extension cables, multi-sockets or inverters; risk of overheating and fire.

Water connection (general Monolith guidance)

InfinitySpring (integrated water dispenser) and IceMaker information is provided for Monolith models that include these features. The ERBdi 9670 / 9671 has no integrated water dispenser and no water filter stated. For Monolith appliances fitted with InfinitySpring or IceMaker, a water supply with pressure between 2.8 and 6.2 bar, supplied hose, suitable water quality, shut-off valve outside the space behind the appliance and regular water filter replacement are required. These details are general Monolith requirements and not specific to this model.

Secure mounting

To prevent the appliance from tipping over after installation, the anti-tipping device positioned at the base must be secured to the floor or wall. The appliance should stand for one hour in the installation location before switching on so that fluids in the coolant and lubrication system can distribute evenly.
