The CX482111 is an 80 cm full surface induction cooktop from the 400 series, offering one single large cooking surface with free positioning of cookware. It features a colour graphic TFT touch display for intuitive control and professional cooking functions, including cooking sensor and Teppan Yaki functions. Precision-crafted from 3 mm stainless steel, it can be surface-mounted with a visible edge or flush-installed and combines with other Vario 400 series appliances.
Depending on surface-mounted or flush-mounted installation, the specific definition of the cut-out must be observed. When combining several Vario appliances of the 400 series, a VA 420 connection strip must be placed between the appliances, using the corresponding strip for the installation type.
The bearing capacity and stability of the worktop, especially thin worktops, must be supported using suitable substructures, taking into account the appliance weight and additional loads. The appliance can be snapped into the worktop from above.
Installation is possible in worktops made of stone, synthetics or solid wood. Heat resistance and watertight sealing of the cut edges must be ensured. For other materials, the worktop manufacturer should be consulted.
The groove must be continuous and even to ensure uniform placing of the appliance on the gasket; discontinuous lining should not be used. The joint width may vary due to size tolerances of the combinations and of the worktop cut-out. When installing several appliances in individual cut-outs, a division bar of minimum 50 mm between cut-outs is required.
The cooktop operates with magnetic (induction) iron pots and pans only. For optimal heat distribution, the use of sandwich bottom cookware is recommended. The wok pan WP 400 001 cannot be used with this appliance.
Control is via an easy to use colour graphic TFT touch display with electronic power control in 17 stages for each zone. Individual pot detection, cooking sensor function and professional cooking function support precise and flexible cooking.
Selected Gaggenau Home Connect digital services are supported, including cooktop-based ventilation control with a suitable hood, remote monitoring and remote diagnostics, using the integrated WiFi module. The availability of Home Connect functionality depends on the availability of Home Connect services in the country.
Power consumption in standby with the display off is 0.5 W, and 2 W in network standby. Instructions for switching off the WiFi module are provided in the user manual.
Up to 5 items of cookware can be placed simultaneously on the unique cooking surface of 2750 cm².
