The CI282112 is an 80 cm flex induction cooktop 200 series with a sturdy stainless steel frame, designed for use with magnetic iron pots and pans. It offers flex induction cooking areas that can be combined, professional cooking and frying sensor functions, and Twist-Pad control with a removable magnetic knob. With integrated Home Connect WiFi, user-friendly two-colour displays and advanced safety features, it supports flexible, precise and convenient cooking.
Selected digital services (Gaggenau Home Connect) are available via the integrated WiFi module. These include cooktop-based ventilation control with a suitable hood, remote monitoring and remote diagnostics. The availability of Home Connect functionality depends on the availability of Home Connect services in the respective country. Home Connect services are not available in every country.
Power consumption in standby with the display off is 0.5 W, and power consumption in standby with network connection is 2 W. The user manual explains how to switch off the WiFi module.
The appliance operates with magnetic (induction) iron pots and pans only. For optimal heat distribution, the use of sandwich bottom cookware is recommended. The wok pan WP 400 001 cannot be used with this appliance.
The flex function combines rectangular cooking areas into larger zones, allowing flexible positioning of cookware. Combined areas can automatically extend up to 30 x 30 cm to accommodate larger pots and pans.
The professional cooking function splits the cooktop into 3 predefined heat areas. This allows you to move cookware between zones with different preset temperatures for more efficient cooking.
The cooktop includes an integrated WiFi module for digital services (Home Connect). Selected services such as cooktop-based ventilation control, remote monitoring and remote diagnostics are supported, depending on the availability of Home Connect services in your country.
Safety features include a main switch, operation indicator, pot detection, 2 stage Hh residual heat indicator for each zone, child lock and safety shut-off.
Installation is possible in worktops made of stone, synthetics or solid wood. The heat resistance and watertight sealing of the cut edges must be observed. For other materials, the worktop manufacturer should be consulted, and the appliance must be fixed from underneath.
