The VL414115 Vario downdraft ventilation 400 series is a highly efficient, low-noise ventilation system in 15 cm stainless steel. Designed for surface or flush installation, it offers automatic, sensor-controlled power adjustment and run-on functions. It can be combined with other Vario appliances of the 400 series and is especially effective with a remote fan unit. With dishwasher-safe components and selected digital services via Home Connect, it supports modern, integrated kitchen ventilation.
The appliance is suitable for surface installation with a visible edge or for flush installation. It can be snapped into the worktop from above. For each VL unit one remote fan unit is recommended. Vario cooktops such as the Vario electric grill and Vario gas wok should be placed between two VL units, and the maximum cooktop width between two VL units is 80 cm (except with the CX 482).
When combining several Vario appliances of the 400 series, a connection strip VA 420 must be placed between the appliances, with the type of strip depending on the installation. The bearing capacity and stability of the worktop, particularly thin worktops, must be supported with suitable substructures, taking into account the appliance weight and additional loads.
Flush installation is possible in worktops made of stone, synthetics or solid wood. Heat resistance and watertight sealing of the cut edges must be observed. For other materials, the worktop manufacturer should be consulted. The groove must be continuous and even so the appliance can be placed uniformly on the gasket; discontinuous lining should not be used. The joint width may vary due to size tolerances of the combinations and of the worktop cut-out.
For optimum performance in air recirculation mode, an outflow surface area of at least 400 cm² is recommended. If the unit is operated next to gas appliances, the air baffle AA 414 010 is recommended to ensure maximum performance of the cooktop.
