The VI422105 is a 38 cm Vario flex induction cooktop from the 400 series, designed for flexible positioning of cookware within combined cooking areas. It features solid stainless steel control knobs, frameless flush installation and user-friendly electronic control in 12 stages. With booster and frying sensor functions, integrated Home Connect digital services, and compatibility with other Vario 400 series appliances, it supports precise cooking and seamless integration into suitable worktops.
The horizontal positioning of the knobs may be aligned with the specific cooking areas. If the panel is more than 23 mm thick, the drawing for installation of the control knob must be observed and a recess at the rear is required. The bearing capacity and stability, particularly for thin worktops, must be supported using suitable substructures, taking into account the appliance weight and additional loads.
Installation is possible in worktops made of stone, synthetics or solid wood. Heat resistance and watertight sealing of the cut edges must be observed; for other materials the worktop manufacturer should be consulted. The groove must be continuous and even to ensure uniform placing of the appliance on the gasket, and discontinuous lining should not be used. When installing several appliances in individual cut-outs, a division bar of minimum 50 mm between the individual cut-outs is required.
The cooktop operates with magnetic (induction) iron pots and pans only, and the use of sandwich bottom cookware is recommended for optimal heat distribution. Two flex induction cooking areas of 24x20 cm can be used individually or linked to form a 24x40 cm area. Control knobs with illuminated ring and two colour display allow selection of 12 power stages, booster and frying sensor functions, as well as access to the stopwatch, short-term timer, options menu and power management.
The appliance includes an integrated WiFi module for selected digital services via Home Connect, such as cooktop-based ventilation control with a suitable hood, remote monitoring and remote diagnostics. The availability of Home Connect functionality depends on the availability of Home Connect Services in the country. Power consumption in standby with display off is 0.5 W and in network standby is 1.4 W. The user manual explains how to switch off the WiFi module.
Safety features include an operation indicator, pot detection for use with suitable cookware, a 2 stage Hh residual heat indicator for each zone and safety shut-off. These functions support safe everyday use of the induction cooking areas.
