Installation and Ventilation Requirements

Proper ventilation is essential for correct operation, energy efficiency and lifespan. The cooling unit emits heat at the back of the minibar, which must be removed via adequate airflow.

Positioning and mounting

Place the minibar on a stable surface that is level in both directions.
Suitable for free-standing use or integration into furniture using the quick-fix sliding hinge supplied as standard.
Do not place the fridge in direct sunlight, next to a heating radiator, window or curtains.
The mains plug/socket must be freely accessible once the fridge has been installed.

Ventilation clearances

For HiPro NTE series (including N40), free ventilation space for incoming and outgoing air should be at least 200 cm² each.
The air inlet should be positioned below the unit and the air outlet above, in a chimney-like flow of air.
Side ventilation must be avoided in all cases.
Air passing through the duct must not be warmed by any other heat source.
Only the cooling unit should project into the ventilation duct.
Between the minibar’s back (including the cooling unit) and the surrounding structure, allow approximately 15–40 mm clearance.
Between the minibar’s sides and the surrounding structure, allow 2 mm clearance.
Between the minibar’s top surface and the surrounding structure, allow 3 mm clearance.
Ventilation grills, if used, must provide a free opening area of at least 200 cm² for inlet and outlet air.
The outflow air vent must exit into free space in the room, not into an enclosed void.

Built-in cavity guidance

As a guideline for built-in versions of Dometic fridges, adding 15 mm to the height, 30 mm to the width and 20 mm to the depth gives indicative cavity dimensions, in conjunction with all ventilation requirements.

Operation and safety notes

Never cover ventilation grills or slots.
Ensure there is both inflow and outflow of air; an outlet alone is not sufficient.
Use the product only for its intended purpose and in accordance with the instructions and applicable regulations.
Improper installation, use or maintenance may reduce performance, increase energy consumption or cause damage.
