Installation and Ventilation Requirements

The minibar is suitable for free-standing use or for integration into a piece of furniture using the quick-fix sliding hinge. Proper ventilation is essential to maintain cooling performance, energy efficiency and product lifespan.

Place the minibar on a stable surface that is level in both directions.
For built-in installation, ensure free circulation of air around the cooling unit so heat from the condenser fins can be transferred to the ambient air.
For HiPro absorption and compressor minibars, provide at least 150 cm² free ventilation space for incoming air and at least 200 cm² for outgoing air.
The air inlet should be positioned below the minibar and the air outlet above, creating a chimney-like flow of air; side ventilation must be avoided.
Do not allow air passing through the ventilation duct to be preheated by any source of heat.
Ventilation grills, if used, should have a free opening at least equal to the required incoming and outgoing air areas.
The outflow air vent must exit into free room space, not into an enclosed cupboard, case good or ceiling void.
Never cover ventilation grills or slots, and do not place the minibar in direct sunlight or next to a heating radiator, window or curtains.
When building into furniture, it is advised to leave at least 20 mm between the cooling unit and the furniture wall and to cut a hole in the back of the furniture to maximise airflow.

Cavity Dimensions Guidance (Built-in Versions)

As a guideline for built-in versions of Dometic fridges, add 15 mm to the height, 30 mm to the width and 20 mm to the depth of the appliance to determine cavity dimensions, in conjunction with ventilation requirements. Dimensions should conform together with the specified ventilation space.

Product warranty is only valid if the minibar is installed as described in the installation manual and used for its intended purpose.
