Hotel Reports
- Exterior - A grey block with no distinguishing features, typical of the 1960's. The hotel is currently undergoing some emergency repairs to the brickwork on the outside of the building. Scaffolding has been put up all around the hotel building.
- General - This hotel is in a very good location. It will undergo a refurbishment progam starting January, 2001 and continue with the remainder of the hotel, approximately 250 rooms at a time, throughout the balance of the year, but this should not affect any guests. (1200/1200:MM)
- Lobby - The lobby is large and open plan style. It is always very busy with plenty of seating. A sports bar is attached to the lobby which is carpeted in deep red with mahogony fittings.
- Location - This hotel is located on the corner of Lexington Avenue and 51st street in Midtown. The subway station is literally next door. It is within walking distance to the famous Bloomingdales, 5th avenue shopping, Central Park, the theatre district and museums.
- Restaurant - The Lexington Avenue Grill is located just inside the main entrance on the ground floor, serving American cuisine in an informal atmosphere.
- Rooms - The rooms are medium sized, modern and comfortable, and were refurbished in 1995. Some rooms have refrigerators. Rooms have pastel colored bedspreads, marbled bathrooms and light wooden furniture.
