Hotel Reports
- Exterior - The hotel is traditionally Swiss in appearance and in very attractive condition with a white facade.
- General - This is one of Zermatt's best four stars, highly recommended 060498
- Lobby - The lobby is small and welcoming. It is decorated in traditional, elegant style with much exposed woodwork and an attractive pale green colourscheme.
- Location - Hotel Sonne is located a the top end of Zermatt about 10mins walk from the railway station and looking down on the rest of the village. It is reached via a pretty little lane snaking up through the old buildings of the main street.
- Restaurant - The restaurant is on the ground floor and continues the theme of rustic elegance from the lobby. The breakfast buffet is particularly impressive, especially if you like Japanese food of which there is a selection.
- Rooms - The rooms really are delightful. They are elegant in style with traditional rustic Swiss touches. They vary a little in size, but on average they are medium sized. Many rooms have attractive views of the Matterhorn. The hotel is newly renovated and very well maintained and both the rooms and their beautiful bathrooms are in exceptional condition.
