- General - The Berghotel Schatzalp has the most elevated location of all the hotels in thisarea and is accessible by special finiculair train from the center of davos. It overlooks the valley of davos and is set in the most beautiful of surroundings. The building itself, which is traditional, is very impressive and when one walksthrough it is as if time has stood still. There is a large reception and many small public areas where guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the hotel. The rooms vary alot but all of them are very comfortable and overlookthe valley of davos. They all have modern facilities and are well maintained. The hotel's restaurant is also traditional in style and decor with some beautiful wall paintings and serves a high standard of cuisine. Although it is difficult to get to because you have to get the special train this hotel is wellworth a visit. 26jan 1993
