- Exterior - The exterior of the building is very traditional in style. Its light blue facade makes it stand out from many of the other buildings in the area.
- General - This hotel is a charming deluxe property, decorated in a very traditional style. In comparison with other properties of the same standard in Basel, this hotel has a particularly cosy atmosphere. 0101SF
- Lobby - The small lobby is bright, and with its high ceilings and marble floors, is rather grand in appearance. Leading off from the lobby area are several tables and comfortable chairs forming a kind of lounge area, where guests can meet and relax at their leisure.
- Location - This hotel is situated in the heart of Basel, just a short stroll from the main railway station.
- Restaurant - The main restaurant is decorated in a very elegant fashion and specialises in French cuisine. When the weather is warm enough, the hotel opens its terrace restaurant, which is particularly popular with the locals. The hotel also has a cosy, traditionally furnished piano bar.
- Rooms - The medium sized rooms are all pleasantly decorated in a traditional manner. Although they could possibly benefit from some refurbishment, the rooms are in good condition as are the bathrooms.
