- Exterior - Although a simple modern design, the building's brickwork and coloured facade fit in well with the surrounding 17th century architecture.
- General - The First Witt is a good first class hotel with a convenient and quiet location in what is an extremely pleasant old city. Oct98
- Lobby - The reception itself is narrow and of small size, with modern furnishings and quite a dark feel.
- Location - The First Witt is situated in the quiet and attractive old town within easy walking distance of the seafront and Kalmar's vibrant cafe and restaurant scene.
- Restaurant - Located on the ground floor, the restaurant is a light, open-plan room with brick furnishings.
- Rooms - On average these Are of at least medium size and in very good condition. Colours and decor follow traditional scandinavian tastes, with yellow, blue and red to the fore, and wooden parquet floors throughout.
