- Exterior - This hotel is a white building divided into two parts. The most original feature is the tower, it was constructed 35 years ago on the way to Santiago de compostela. The gardened entrance and the bushes give way to the sheltered car park.

- Location - This hotel can be found in the extreme north of the Region of castille-leon. It is a modern building, lying 511 metres above sea level and surrounded by mountains. The area is replete with vinyards, orchards and archaeological and historical sites. There are ancient cities and towns dating back from the roman conquest and even famous abbeys, where the bodies of kings lie.
- Restaurant - The cuisine typical of the town has its own specialities such as; trucha con unto (a trout dish), el botillo del bierzo, el pulpo a barciana (an octopus dish) and chanfaina barciana (a stew-like meal). For dessert there are los suspiros de monje (a mixture of flour, sugar and egg).
- Rooms - The rooms are situated on two floors of the main part of the hotel. They have wooden floors.
