- Location - The parador 'costa brava' as it is called stands on the punta d'esmutsa small wooded peninsula with many beaches and coves. The building is functionalin style incorporating the predominant architechtural feature of the mediterranean coast of white bricks. The surroundings are exceptionally beautiful. A path from the parador leads to the beach of Aiguablava. Two and a half kilometres away is the cape of Bagur with a beautiful view of the sea. Gameand fish is plentiful in the region, and as a result, its cuisine is one of the most varied in Spain.
- Restaurant - Among the typical dishes are conill amb caragols (a dish of snails)la zarzuela marinera (a fish and seafood stew), and for desert, crema catalana (creme caramel),and platanos a la catalana (a banana dessert). The village of Bagur itslef is white and full of light and has many narrow and winding streets.Whilst staying at this parador one could also visit the towns of gerona to see its famous monuments and figueras to see the museum dedicated to dali.
