- Exterior - The hotel is of a traditional style but is very unusually decorated in a modernism style that is typical of the 1920s.

- Location - The hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the Ramblas. The nearest metro station is Liceo. This hotel was designed by a leading architect by the name of Domenech I Munntaner. The hotel has features in the interior which are strongly protected by the city council such as remarkable large art nouveau murals and the elaborated woodwork. The ceramic tiles and mosaics show the grand splendour and style this hotel has.
- Restaurant - This hotel has two restaurants, both deserve a visit if only to see the beautiful decor.
- Rooms - It has a large reception area that is beautifully decorated. The standard bedrooms are very large and vary in size. The rooms although modest in decoration, are comfortable.
