Hotel Reports
- Exterior - - a traditional white washed stone structure which has been totally refurbished in the last two years.
- General - - certainly one of the best hotels in Durban. 27 may 1999.
- Lobby - - medium in size & decorated in a traditional style befitting of a five star property with dark wood antique furniture & marble flooring. To the right of the reception area is a man made miniature forest & lake area with large flora & tree trunks abounding over a small area of water surrounded by rocks & sand. Also incorporates a small seating area & hanging glass chandelier.
- Location - Situated on marine parade directly opposite the beachfront & overlooking the ocean in an ideal position. The station which serves Durban is a five minute drive away & the hotel offers a shuttle bus service there.
- Restaurant - - hotel boasts a variety of choices with a brasserie which serves b/fast & a la carte dinners, the terrace area for pub meals, a Chinese restaurant called the mandarin and a seafood restaurant. The hotel is famed for its cuisines
- Rooms - - all are in excellent condition as are the bathrooms. Pastel colours are used as decor blending with the dark wood furnishings. The bathrooms are all in beige marble.
