• Lobby - In keeping with the rest of the hotel the lobby is traditional colonial in decor with a seperate reception and concierge area both in dark wood. The walls are sand colour typical of tradtional South African hotels. It also incorporates a large lounge area adorned with an abundance of antique furniture hanging glass chandeliers, local flora & fireplace.
• Location - The Mount Nelson which has often been called 'the best hotel in africa' is situated close to the city centre in its own private and tranquil grounds away from the traffic or rush found in the centre of Capetown with views over the surrounding mountain areas.
• Restaurant - Situated on the ground floor & decorated with palm trees & dark columns, the restaurant is famed throughout Capetown as one of the best restaurants in the town and also in the whole country.
• Rooms - All the rooms are large and all are in very good condition as are the bathrooms, traditional in style with dark wood furnishings.
