- Exterior - It is a semi-modern building.
- General - This hotel is most suited to those budget minded individuals or groups whishing to stay in an area for bargain shopping. Nov9898
- Lobby - The lobby is very small and unimpressive. The reception desk is in a corner and looks very dated in design. The marble flooring is also in need of renovation as they look tired and aged.
- Location - The Peninsula is located next to the Excelsior and near Singapore's business and leisure district. The main subway station - 'city hall station' is within a minutes walk. Bargain shopping centres surround the hotel and the main shopping belt - Orchard road is just 3 stations (about 5 mins) away.
- Restaurant - The hotel has a coffee house 'colman's cafe' which has a cosy atmosphere. It serves a-la-carte and set menu of local and western favourites at very reasonable prices.
- Rooms - They are medium in size and in a better condition than the lobby. Some of the rooms (about 50-60%) have recently received a change of upholstery and gone through minor refurbishment. This programme is presently on-going. The bathroom conditions are average and so show signs of age especially the marble flooring.
