Hotel Reports
- Exterior - Modern with tropical look 9 storey building as the rooms in the main block have well foliaged balconies opening out to the city skyline.
- General - Other than the location, this hotel is fairly good for superior tourist std. Nov98
- Lobby - The lobby is small but compact and cosy. There is a coffee house and lounge at one end and there are some sofas just in front of the reception.
- Location - The king's hotel is located by the historic Singapore river, near Chinatown (5 mins by bus). The nearest tube station is about 15 mins walk away or 3 mins by bus. The hotel does provide shuttle service to the shopping belt at orchard and Chinatown.
- Restaurant - The hotel has a coffee house which is popular for its buffet spread, local and western a-la-carte which serves yangzhou, dim sum or sichuan dishes.
- Rooms - They are relatively small in size but quite adequately furnished. The pastel colour curtains and furnishings make the rooms look cosy and comfortable. Although small there is still space for a little coffee table and 2 armchairs. The bathroom is also small but in fair condition.
