- Exterior - It is a very elegant, traditional late Victorian building.
- General - 36008
- Lobby - The lobby area is very small. The decor is traditional, with warm shades of blues used, and Austrian blinds at the windows.
- Location - This hotel is situated in the centre of the city, opposite Waverley station.
- Restaurant - The restaurant features excellent Scottish produce, and is decorated in light oak woods and deep rich colours. The cocktail bar, along with the restaurant offers spectacular views across Princes Street gardens to Edinburgh Castle.
- Rooms - All of the bedrooms are tastefully decorated to a very good 3 star standard. Again the colours used are soft pastel shades.
