Hotel Reports
- Exterior - This is a late Victorian building which was originally a department store and is very elegant.
- General - ?7 million has been invested to ensure that all aspects of the hotel have been brought up to the very highest standards of modern luxury. Rooms, restaurant, leisure club, bars and lobby are all virtually unrecognisable from the previous incarnation. The hotel now boasts the finest 4 star rooms in the city. All this has been achieved without losing the essential traditional Scottish feel of this famous landmark property.
- Lobby - The reception desk on the ground floor makes for an impressive welcome. The main lobby and bar area is on the 1st floor, accessible via a sweeping staircase.
- Location - This hotel is situated opposite Waverly Station on North Bridge, on a corner of the Royal Mile.
- Restaurant - The new restaurant is open plan, very modern and serves a brasserie style menu. It is less formal than before and is very stylish.
- Rooms - The bedrooms are all large in size. Every room has been renovated at vast expense. The new rooms are of the highest quality, with deep sumptuous colours in 3 separate designs that combine the traditional feel associated with the hotel. The rooms also have state of the art facilities.
