- General - A friendly hotel run by a husband and wife team. A relaxed atmosphere pervades, exemplified by the honesty bar in the cosy residents lounge.(ML 07/01)
- Lobby - There is a reception desk in the hall to greet visitors on arrival.
- Location - Situated 10 minutes' drive from the city centre in Edinburgh's South Side residential area.
- Restaurant - The hotel's restaurant offers a Taste of Scotland menu and prides itself on the exceptional breakfast.
- Rooms - The rooms all have private shower rooms, direct dial telephone, colour TV, touser press, hairdryer and a hospitlaity tray with tea/coffee. The rooms are all traditionally furnished and are pleasant and comfortable.
