Hotel Reports
- Exterior - The pale exterior is quite ornate and baroque in appearance. The hotel forms part of a greater block of traditional looking buildings.
- General - The hotel plays a central role in the local life of Bucharest and is frequented by many locals whose business is carried out in the evening. Rooms can be quite noisy because of traffic. March 1998
- Lobby - The small lobby has been renovated and is bright and clean with grey carpeting and a small seating area opposite the reception area.
- Location - The Bulevard hotel is situated opposite the military club in down town Bucharest. The public transport connections are excellent.
- Restaurant - The attractive ornate restaurant is on lobby level at the rear of the hotel. It does not benefit from natural light at all. It is decorated in a grand style with ornate columns and friezes and gold leaf. There is a stage at thefront where live music is provided.
- Rooms - The medium to large rooms are quite dark with high ceilings and large windows. The decor is rather dated with dark wood furnishings and paler walls which are quite scuffed. The rooms would benefit from refurbishment. The bathrooms are basic and need new fixtures and fittings.
