• Exterior - The exterior of the hotel is art deco style with distinctive turrets.
• General - A famous landmark of Amsterdam, this hotel is suitable for all markets and has one of the best locations in town and is now a 5 star deluxe hotel since its complete renovation in the winter of 2001.
• Lobby - The lobby, as the rest of the hotel, was completely renovated in 2001 and is medium in size with marble floor and a fairly modern theme, although the art deco for which this hotel is famous is still obvious. There is plenty of seating in attractive red or purple furniture. The bar has been completely renvoated also, and is located next to the main reception area. It is modern in design.
• Location - This hotel is ideally located on the Leidseplein within walking distance of all the tourist sights and shopping areas of Amsterdam.
• Restaurant - This hotel is famous for its brasserie which is where all meals are served. It is decorated in art deco style with high ceilings, a very large area with views of the Leidseplein. During summer months diners may eat outside. Tea and coffee and light snacks are also served here.
• Rooms - The bedrooms have been completely renovated and are decorated to the high standard expected of a 5 star hotel. Although the bedrooms vary in size, they are all medium to large in size and are modern, light and airy with soft neutral colours. The bathrooms have also been completely renovated and are black and white and in very good condition, as are the bedrooms.
