- General - This hotel has not been seen and therefore the report is based on the brochure. The Arctia Oscar is located in the centre of Varkaus, within easy walking distance of the lake and all the town's shops and restaurants. It is a 4-storey modern building, with white bricks and tall narrow tinted windows. The available literature on the hotel does not feature all of its areas, but clearly this is a very modern hotel with an elegant and welcoming decor. The restaurant is stylish, with whicker chairs, floral seat patterns set against a dark red carpet. Bedrooms are light and warm in feel, with burgundy coloured furniture contrasted with cream walls and upholstery. Bathrooms are decorated in very elegant grey marble. This is a good quality hotel in a convenient location.
