- General - This hotel has a very particular location, as it is virtually stuck to the mountainside underneath the historic centre of Taormina. It is a highly modern building, the most prominent feature of which is the lift tower which takes pax from the lobby at road level down to the various floors and the swimming pool. The predominant colours in the hotel are blue and red, both inside and out, beginning with the medium sized lobby. The piano bar, breakfast room and the restaurant all follow the same design, the nature of which means that almost any point in the hotel has a large window offering views across the sea. Bedrooms are also ultra-modern, with multi-coloured Floral patterns on the furniture, bluedoor and window frames and dark tiled floors. All have balconies. This is a very modern and well maintained hotel in an excellent location. 18jan'96
