- Exterior - Breaffy House is a beautiful baronial mansion built in 1890. It has a hugely impressive facade,madeeven more spectacular when illuminated at night.
- General - This is a very impressive looking property that would be an ideal base to explore the region for groups and motoring fits. The hotel is distinct in that it offers its own grounds and gardens for clients use. There is also a crazy golf course and mini gym. Hotel unseen / report from brochure malcolm lindop march 1998
- Lobby - The lobby is large and sumptious with red and gold decor and an open fireplace to give the impression of a castle entrance.
- Location - The hotel is situated 4 kms from Castlebar town, 26 kms from knock airport in co. Mayo. The hotel is placed within its own 100 acres of land.
- Restaurant - The garden restaurant is light and airy with views over the grounds of the manor. The mulberry bar and lounges offer a relaxed and traditional atmosphere.
- Rooms - The rooms are medium in size and decorated in warm colours. All have direct dial telephone, t.V., radio, hairdryer, trouser press and tea/coffee making facilities.
