- Exterior - Modern, low-storey building.The hotel was opened in may 1998. It is set in its own grounds.
- General - This is an ideal hotel for groups touring the area. Malcolm lindop june 1998
- Lobby - The lobby is large and spacious and opens out onto the lounge and bar areas.
- Location - The downhill inn is located 05 minutes from the main street in Ballina.
- Restaurant - The mediterranean style restaurant is attractive and has a terrace area in the summer.
- Rooms - All the rooms are large in size and have one double and one single bed. The decor is modern and in tasteful pastel colours.
