- Exterior - Modern but tasteful hotel, very elegant looking set in grounds overlooking the Castle.
- General - The hotel also has an adjoining pub called 'merry pedlar pub', a conservatory and an extensive leisure centre. The hotel is ideal for groups but not for fit's as it is a long way from the centre. Mar 1998
- Lobby - Very large lobby with lovely Irish flagstone floor and chesterfield sofas. Large antique tables with beautiful vases located in each corner.
- Location - Hotel is set on the outskirts of Limerick, along the Dublin/limerick road. The hotel has fine views of Limerick city.
- Restaurant - Mclaughlins restaurant is vert elegant and traditional in style and offers a wide range of menu choices.
- Rooms - All rooms are in excellent condition and are large in size. They are decorated in rich warm colours and are very elegant.
