- Exterior - The hotel is the oldest inhabited castle in ireland and was built in 1180. It still resembles a castle in every detail and has not been modernisedin its exterior, so it remains historic.
- General - General- this is a magnificent castle hotel, situated in attractive grounds. The hotel also has a health and fitness club and many old fashioned banqueting rooms. Would particularly suit American clients.
- Lobby - The hotel lobby is medium in size and is long and narrow. There is a small reception desk and attractive armchairs. The decor is very plain but elegant with oil paintings on the walls.
- Location - Kilkea Castle is situated in Castledermot in county kildare. It is 40 miles south of Dublin and has some of the most spectacular scenery in ireland.
- Restaurant - De lacy's restaurant has a very high ceiling and huge windows with velvet curtains and drapes. A variety of top class food is available and each table is elegantly presented and displayed.
- Rooms - The 40 bedrooms are medium and large in size and in good condition with floral designs and elegant furnishings for decoration. Pastel shades are frequenly used in each room and full facilities are included.
