- Exterior - Hotel is a traditional greystone building of Georgian architecture which has been carefully maintained.
- General - Hotel has a heated rooftop indoor swimming pool and a traditional Irish pub.The hotel has recently converted all top floor rooms into luxury penthouse apartments. It is Galway's most famous hotel and a city landmark.(ML 02/01)
- Lobby - The lobby is of medium size with marbled floors and leather sofas, and enhances an old world charm in true Irish tradition.
- Location - Hotel is situated in the famous Eyre Square in the centre of Galway. The hotel dates back to 1874 and is of Georgian architecture.
- Restaurant - Very large restaurant with high ceilings and chandeliers. A variety of dishes are available.
- Rooms - All rooms are of medium size and in good condition, this is due to the hotel's policy of constant refurbishment. All rooms have full facilities and are of the highest standard.
