Hotel Reports
- Exterior - The building is a traditional Georgian house. Purpose built in 1900 it has undergone a recent refurbishment.
- General - This is a good hotel, very centrally located on the banks of the Liffey. The hotel has a very popular and busy bar and a lively nightclub on most nights of the week. It was whilst resident at the Ormond Quay hotel that James Joyce wrote the 'Sirens' chapter of his novel 'Ulysses'. (ML 10/01)(02/01 ML)
- Lobby - The lobby is medium in size with wooden floors, two separate small seating areas, and is decorated in a modern style.
- Location - The hotel is situated alongside the river Liffey, five minutes walk from Temple bar and the city centre.
- Restaurant - The hotel restaurant is modern and informal and is adjacent to the modern contemporary style bar which serves lunch.
- Rooms - The rooms are medium in size, on average, and in good condition. Simply decorated with modern furniture, and green and yellow coloured decor. All rooms have full facilities and en-suite bathrooms. The bathrooms are small in size and in fair condition.
