- Exterior - Modern, purpose built building with large car park.
- General - The Woodlands is a new property, completed in 2000. The leisure centre is an added attraction.(ML 02/01)
- Lobby - The lobby is large and modern and circular. The reception desk is located in the middle of the lobby.
- Location - The hotel and leisure centre is situated a short distance from Waterford town centre on the road to Dunmore.
- Restaurant - The hotel has a small formal restarant and a larger casual rsstaurant in the large Irish bar, which is very popular with locals.
- Rooms - The rooms are all in excellent condition and of a high standard for a three star hotel.
