- Exterior - The hotel is a beautiful mansion and offers a residence of dignity and grandeur. The house is resplendent with its historic past and was the abode of the Commanders in Chief of the Imperial British Indian Army from the 1860's to the 1880's.
- General - The hotel offers a princeley retreat and a beautiful memory not easily forgotten. Facilities include magnificent croquet lawns, billards, tennis, table tennis and badminton. For nature lovers the private forest offers woodland walks.0701ZS

- Location - The hotel is located in 4 acres of peace and solitude, nestling in the midst of 150 evergreen pine trees. It is barely half a mile from the main shopping centre, the Mall, which can be called the heart of Shimla. The hotel is easily accesible by car or coach from the Government House and is 20m from the airport and 7 km from the station.
- Restaurant - Guests may enjoy a delicious traditional Himachali meal or feast on Indian or Continental food. The hotel also offers a comfortable lounge, decorated with a galaxy of photographs signed by Hollywood stars of the glorious 1930's era.
