- Exterior - The hotel consists of a group of buildings clustered together. They are architecturally unremarkable, obviously built for practicality rather than looks to withstand some of the world's wildest weather.
- General - This lovely country hotel is ideally located for excursions to anywhere on Iceland's ruggedly beautiful south coast and Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajokull. RY1102
- Lobby - The lobby is small, but there is a large lounge adjoining it with plentiful seating.
- Location - This hotel is located on one of the remotest stretches of Iceland's breathtaking southern coastline. It stands in front of beautiful steeply sloping fells overlooking miles of flat sandy wilderness out towards the distant sea.
- Restaurant - The restaurant is also noteable for its lovely views over the surrounding countryside from its huge windows.
- Rooms - The rooms are medium sized and in very good condition. They are simple in style, but perfectly comfortable with lovely views.
