Hotel Reports
- Exterior - This is a modern hotel with a concrete facade with red steel trimmings.
- General - This is a good first class hotel, its cuisine being the most outstanding feature. (BL 02/02)
- Lobby - The lobby is set quite a way back from the main entrance. It is necessary to pass through a small bar area and travel agency before reaching the small, brightly lit and modern reception area. The reception can also be reached through a back door.
- Location - The hotel is located in downtown central Budapest on a busy street in the main shopping area. The hotel is within very easy walking distance of the Danube and of the metro stations Deak Ferenc Ter and Vorosmarty Ter. The rear of the hotel backs on to possibly the busiest pedestrianized shopping street in the city. This is possibly the most centrally located hotel.
- Restaurant - The breakfast room is on the first floor and overlooks the main street. The lunch and dinner restaurants are on the ground floor and serve excellent cuisine in the form of a buffet. The chef is also chef to the Hungarian parliament. There is also a delightful Viennese style cafe at the front of the restaurant. The area is always busy because of its excellent location.
- Rooms - The modern rooms are medium sized and boast dark wooden furniture, brown carpets and pastel beige soft furnishings. All are in good condition. The bathrooms although rather small are well equipped and clean.
