• Exterior - Built over 100 years ago, this historical building has been totally renovated throughout, inside and out. The island is restricted, so there is no through traffic in front or near the hotel, making this an excellent position.
• General - This marvellous hotel also offers thermal baths and spa facilities, aswell as a popular gym. The hotel is perfect for those looking to be away away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but within very easy reach of all the sights. (02/02 BL)
• Lobby - The lobby is large and quite grand, with impressive antique furniture, traditional decor and an imposing lounge area where drinks and snacks are served. There are also a couple of gift shops selling hand crafred Hungarian goods.
• Location - The hotel stands on the picturesque Margaret Island, one of the city's most popular parks, especially with the locals during the summer. Although the island is undoubtedly a peaceful quiet haven with a rose garden, sports facilities and even some historical ruins, it is also not far from the bustling heart of Budapest. The nearest station - Arpad Hid is only 10 minutes away.
• Restaurant - All the restaurants are on the ground floor. There is a brasserie with an outdoor terrace and the 'Szechenyi' serves local and international cuisine. The food is of a very high quality.
• Rooms - Rooms are large and in very good condition. They are impressively furnished with antiques, classical paintings and elegant decor lending a timeless atmosphere. The bathrooms are medium in size and adequate.
