- Exterior - The hotel has a charming, homely facade. It is a very old building, made of dark grey stone and covered in beautiful flowering plants.
- General - This wonderful property offers a sophisticated place to stay for the guest who appreciates a warm, personal service in intimate surroundings as opposed to the grand oppulence of a larger deluxe hotel. 02/01
- Lobby - The lobby is very small and intimate, with Laura Ashley designed decor.
- Location - The hotel is located on the opposite bank of the River Neckar from the Old Town and castle, in a quiet and very exclusive residential area. The Old Town is just 10 minutes' walk away, over the historic bridge.
- Restaurant - The restaurant is located on the ground floor and is a lovely rustically styled room with a warm, welcoming ambience. The restaurant is particularly well-known in Heidelberg, not only for its exceptional cuisine, but for having one of the most varied and exclusive wine and champagne lists.
- Rooms - The rooms are all of different shapes and sizes and in different styles, varying from very small and cosy rooms to very large grand suites. The decor in all the rooms is traditional, though all are of Laura Ashley design. All the rooms and the bathrooms are in exceptional condition.
