- Exterior - It is a modern, red-brick building situated on one of Hamburg's many canals.
- General -
- Lobby - The large open plan lobby is very bright due to the large windows, which offer a view of the Alster canal. The reception desk is near the entrance. At the back of the lobby is the bar and a comfortable seating area. To the left is the winter garden, a modern bright informal restaurant and breakfast room with large windows, leading on to a terrace, which is opened in the summer.
- Location - The hotel is centrally located at the Alster and within walking distance from the new German-Japanese centre. Some of Germany's most exclusive shopping is nearby, as are all central sites and the train station.
- Restaurant - Below the reception area is the formal restaurant which is furnished and decorated in warm colours with a Japanese influence in style thanks to the Japanese centre nearby.
- Rooms - The rooms are large and light with light wooden furniture, and a warm, welcoming, colourscheme. They are modern in style and in exceptional condition, as are the bathrooms.
