- Exterior - It is a Grand old building of white stone.
- General -
- Lobby - Large and very impressive with a long, marble reception desk, marble columns, chandeliers, large plants and many very comfortable seating areas.
- Location - Centrally located opposite the train station and close to the art museum, the "deutsche schaulspielhaus" theatre and the alster lake.
- Restaurant - šclassic" restaurant is furnishedin the style of an ocean-liner at the turn of the century. It has a very high ceiling painted in cream and brown colours, marble columns and a wood panelled gallery. It serves international and regional dishes. The bistro-cafe "schampus" is very bright with black and white floor tiles, white chairs, and yellow and white painted walls. The "m & m" bar is furnished in Art deco style. Oct 98
