- Exterior - The hotel is housed in two inter-connected identical highrises of contemporary design with its own underground Parking.
- General - There are two bars one of which is decorated in Victorian style with a carved wooden ceiling. There is also a more elegant bar furnished with a blue and golden coloured carpet, blue curtains, heavy red chairs and a long red-coloured bar. Finally there is the "club Maritim" which is a dicsotheque- style bar. Oct 98, 03/02 HM
- Lobby - This is medium in size.
- Location - The Maritim hotel enjoys a quiet location next to the city Park, but is also very conveniently located for the motorway network. The train station and the city centre of Gelsenkirchen are only a 5-minute walk away.
- Restaurant - The restaurant offers views onto the Park and its lake.
- Rooms - These are decorated in mainly a beige colour. They have modem connetions for laptops.
