- Exterior - The scandic crown hotel is not a particulary attractive building from the outside, it is square and modern.
- General - Distance to the fair-ground in Essen is 01 km. 12 aug 98
- Lobby - The large lobby is laid out with beige Polished tiles and is decorated in a beige and pale brown colour scheme.
- Location - The hotel is located just outside the city centre near the trade fair grounds.
- Restaurant - The hotel restaurant provides a wide range of international specilialities and is pleasantly furnished with a rather rustic, garden terrace appearance.
- Rooms - The medium sized standard bedroom is comfortable but basic and simply decorated. Rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated but in good condition.
